Yves Dana "Demetra I", 1995 Fer, 180 x 65 x 60 cm |
"Born in Alexandria, Yves Dana studied sociology in Lausanne and graduated from the Ecole supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Geneva. The artist sculpts iron, bronze or stone to create simple, one could even say, hieratical forms that are both timeless and yet totally modern. His sculptures are regularly exhibited in Switzerland and abroad. In November 2002, his work will be exhibited at the Jan Krugier Gallery in New York and at the Galerie Ditesheim in Neuchâtel.
SWIFT and PROMETHEE express all their gratitude to Yves Dana and the Galerie Jan Krugier, Ditesheim & Cie in Geneva for their help and kind contribution."
