PROMETHEE has no individual members, except a small number of distinguished "membres d'honneur". It maintains also a global network of contacts and co-operations with eminent persons in the world of academia, regulation and think-tanks. Corporate members are companies eager to share views on the global networked economy and its implications for corporate strategies, regulations and international governance. In the years following the creation of PROMETHEE, members came mostly from the telecoms and hi-tech sectors. At the present time, a majority of members come from the world of global finance (stock exchanges, banks, clearing and settlement companies…). See the present list of members in the WHO section. The work of PROMETHEE however remains trans-sectoral in its inspiration. Indeed, sharing views on the networked economy from a variety of sectoral perspectives is a hallmark of PROMETHEE.
Governance: As a club of companies, PROMETHEE is governed by its members. Members elect the Board of directors, approve the budget and decide every year on the appropriate levels for the annual membership fee for associate members, members and partners. Applications for membership must be approved by PROMETHEE’s General Assembly.

Fellowship for doctoral or post-doctoral students. Over the years, the PROMETHEE team has welcome a few gifted doctoral and post-doctoral students conducting their own research on specialized aspects of the global networked economy. Research themes have included intellectual property, regulatory convergence, tax harmonization, digital media, merger and acquisitions in network-related fields.
